    Yes thanks I have contacted Miles Tool & Machinery Centre and they are collecting the pruners next week. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this fault and what the problem might be but I shall just have to be patient and wait to hear from Miles Tool !

    It sounds like the motor might be jammed or there’s an issue with the internal mechanism. Try removing the battery, cleaning the blades, and checking for debris inside. If the light works but not the cutter, the motor or gears may need attention

    Thanks for your input but pruners have gone to Miles Tools under guarantee for repair.  Waiting to hear what the problem is!
