How do you change the security combination number on my S742-054, S742-055 or S742-056 STANLEY combination lock?

  1. Rotate all numbers so that the "0`s" line up vertically on the centerline. Pull out the shackle to unlock the padlock.
  2. Rotate the shackle to 180° into the right direction, then press it downward. Turn the numbers to your personal desired combination.
  3. Pull shackle upward, then turn it back to 180°. Press the shackle downward to lock the padlock.
  4. Now you have successfully changed the combination numbers. Make sure to remember the new number combination. To change the number combination again, repeat steps 1 to 3.
