SLIDING PATIO DOORS?

I bought a Stanley Double Sliding Patio Door from Home Depot seven years ago. The internal mini-blind mechanisms have failed. The warranty info I received with the door says it's covered for 10 years. Do I have any recourse or is Stanley using the "we don't make them anymore so the warranty is worthless" dodge?
