Craftsman 16 Gauge Finish Nailer stopped working BOTH LIGHTS FLASHING???
AnsweredModel CMCN616 16 Gauge Nailer stopped working. I've only used this nailer 3 times!!! Solid light comes on (as it should!) when contact trip is depressed, however, when trigger switch is pulled BOTH worklights flash continuously and no nail/fastener is released. Troubleshooting Guide in Owner's Manual provided with product doesn't address this scenario (specifically when BOTH lights are flashing). I have swapped out fully-charged batteries to rule out that as the problem. I have also followed steps to ensure there is no jammed fastener inside. I have removed and re-inserted the battery pack. I have rotated the Jam Clearing Latch. I have removed and re-inserted new/different nails. I have adjusted/rotated the depth adjustment wheel. Troubleshooting Guide suggests "See authorized service center". I have searched your website and cannot find an authorized service center. Simply says go to Lowes where I purchased the item. I've called 1-888-331-4569 and gone through the entire automated menu which just kept looping me back to an automated system trying to get me to recharge batteries or check battery status; automated system then hung up on me because it "couldn't understand my responses". My workbench has a bunch of Craftsman tools. Have always been a loyal Craftsman shopper. Have searched the internet and found other people have had the same problem with the same tool and NO explanation has been provided to them. PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I LOSE CONFIDENCE IN THE CRAFTSMAN BRAND!!!
