Warranty Replacement - information in conflictAnswered
On the Stanley support/warranty website, it says that mechanics tools (such as ratchets) have a liftetime warranty. To get a replacement, and I am quoting the website, it says:
DO NOT RETURN PRODUCT TO STORE. Please call 1-800-262-2161 (M-F, 8-5 EST) and Stanley will ship a replacement. Tools covered include: wrenches, sockets, ratchets and drive accessories.
Yet when I call that number, I get a recording (not even a real person) which tells me I have to ship it to somewhere in Tennessee (presumably at my own expense). Shipping would cost more than the tool is worth. Is there someone at Stanley that can take ownership of this kind of issue and get it resolved?
My cell phone # is 979-220-0004
I had the same problem with a ratchet and I tossed it. I am now having a problem with a hand held vacuum, I have sent them several messages over the past week. Purchased at Walmart and they said they warranted it for 90 days. Black and Decker said it had 2 years. Can't talk to anyone and they won't answer my e mail. Do not buy anything connected with this company.
