Craftsman circular saw CMCS551 won't run

bought a new Craftsman Circular saw Cmc551. installed blade, inserted battery and saw just makes a whirring noise when the start button is pushed. Craftsman sent me a new saw. The new saw does the same thing. Am I doing something wrong?

Check if the saw's safety lock or trigger is engaged. The saw won't start with the safety on drift hunters. Try pressing the lock-off button as you pull the trigger.

I bought a new 20V Max circular saw with a electronic brake and I found out the problem, it's not the saw it's in the brake design all it is a rubber stopper it doesn't engage or disengage when you pull the trigger or let off the trigger, I notified craftsman about the problem more than once, but they could care less this could be a safety issue or a lawsuit
