Craftsman 18 Gauge Battery Nail Gun - jammed magazine

I just added some nails to this nail gun (Craftsman 18 Gauge Battery Operated Nail Gun).  It nailed one nail and then stopped working.  I looked for jammed nails at the front of the nailer and don't see any.  I then turned to the magazine and tried to open it.  It will not open at all.  Not sure what to do but I am at my wit's end.

Any suggestions?
