battery warranty

I was on the phone with a lady for a battery warranty. It was under warranty no problem, but then they sent me the link to here. Does anyone know if you had to do this as well to get the warranty or if it has gone through? Any info is helpful thanks! I am in Canada if it helps! :) Cheers
